We ran a SOLD OUT event last weekend on-board Willy Wall, just in time before it closes this season (and only reopens in May next year)! The event was very kindly supported by the Singapore Global Network (SGN), a division under Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) that is passionate about building relationships and connecting with individuals all over the globe. Check them out at https://singaporeglobalnetwork.gov.sg
The party goers bonded and made new friends over Singaporean food (have you heard of Laksa?) and free flow alcohol, with specials such as The Painkiller and Dark 'n' Stormy, both Caribbean drinks. The Painkiller, in particular, was a tasty fruity concoction that made us feel like we were in the peak of summer.
The weather was splendid, and the sunset and sea views put everyone in in beautiful mood. What also added to the fun of the night was app-driven in person interactions. Each person was matched with another at the event, and given fun questions to ask each other to help break the ice.
“It felt like I was experiencing a small taste of Singapore - from the amazing food to the stories that we shared and to all the interesting people I got the chance to meet” - Ronke O.
There was an international mix of young working professionals at the party, with many from the tech scene, and everyone made new friends, even adjourning into two separate after parties! We had so much fun, and cannot wait for the upcoming New to New York Friday Drinks Party next week!
