Inviting all grad students to a study session! Please use your university email (if available) for the 3rd question instead of your company email.
Hi I am hosting a productivity session that is grad school / PhD / certification focused on writing, research, and coursework. It’s at Think Coffee on 8th Ave near the High Line. You can come at any time and leave at any time as you please.
**This is NOT a networking mixer, it’s a session to get our work done & be productive with some friendly small talk in between about any topic.
**The schedule is grad school / PhD / certification focused but remote/hybrid professionals are welcome! This is a subgroup under another coworking group CoWorkNChill so there will be others there that aren’t grad students or PhDs.
Schedule
11am–12pm arrive at coffee shop & start being productive
12:30pm–1:30pm lunch & conversations about our research, writing, or studies
1:30pm–3pm continue being productive
3pm–4pm quick intro of ourselves & what we’re studying / researching & what stage we’re in (proposal, coursework, dissertation, etc.)
4pm continue to work as a group & maybe have dinner after
NOTE: schedule is presented as a template just to give a general idea of how the day would go
About Us
Our main group CoWorkNChill consists of members that are founders, entrepreneurs, freelancers, remote/hybrid employees, & grad school students. We gather together 2 to 3 times during the weekday, find a coffee shop / cafe to get our work done, & have lunch & socialize. On the weekends, we go on hikes upstate, host rooftop BBQs, have group dinners, picnics at the park, etc.
So instead of thinking of this as professional networking, think of it more like community building.
