Speakers:Yusuf Özdalga, VC Partner, QED ($4B AUM): Yusuf Ozdalga is Partner and Head of UK & Europe at QED Investors, the fintech-only venture firm with 250+ portfolio companies and 31 unicorns, including early positions in Nubank (100M+ customers), Credit Karma ($7.1B exit to Intuit) and SoFi. Since joining QED in 2017 he has led its European investing, backing Payhawk ($1B valuation), Wayflyer ($1.6B valuation), Wagestream ($175M+ raised), Shop Circle, Carmoola, Midas and Swap. He started at Capital One in 1997 building lending products for underserved credit segments, moved to JPMorgan's Financial Institutions M&A group, and has been investing in European specialty finance and fintech since 2006, including some of Sweden's first online loan originators.
Maria Wagner, Investment Director, HSBC Ventures ($68.30B ARR): Maria Wagner is Investment Director at HSBC Ventures, the corporate venture arm of HSBC, where she sources, leads and manages investments in fintech and AI companies and sits on the board of Bud Financial, the TDR Capital-backed transaction-data platform ($100M+ raised) used by HSBC, ANZ and Credit Karma. Before HSBC she spent nine years at Beringea ($900M+ under management), rising to Partner, and co-founded ESG_VC, the industry standard for ESG measurement across 400+ venture-backed companies. Earlier she was UK Managing Director of Birchbox (1M+ subscribers, $90M raised), an Investment Manager at Virgin Group, and an Engagement Manager at McKinsey.
Ryan Lewis, Head of UK & Northern Europe, Cohere ($3M ARR): Ryan Lewis is Head of UK & Northern Europe at Cohere, the enterprise and sovereign AI company valued at $7B, where he runs the commercial business in a region Cohere is betting on: it tripled its London footprint in June 2026, signed an MoU with the UK Government on sovereign AI, agreed to acquire Germany's Aleph Alpha, and counts the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team and FTSE 250 language-services group RWS among UK customers. Cohere has grown from roughly 250 to 800+ employees in two years and sells vertically integrated models, retrieval and agents to banks, governments and manufacturers who cannot send data to a US hyperscaler. Rishabh Kaul, Venture Partner, Hoxton Ventures ($5M ARR): Rishabh Kaul is Venture Partner at Hoxton Ventures, the London seed firm that wrote early cheques into Deliveroo (£2.9B DoorDash acquisition) and Darktrace ($5.3B exit), where he focuses on go-to-market and growth for European founders selling into the US. He co-founded Belong, the Sequoia- and Matrix-backed enterprise HR platform ($15M raised) that worked with 30+ Fortune 500 companies, and was named to Fortune India's 40 Under 40 for it. He then led marketing and GTM at Appsmith, the open-source developer tool ($51M raised from Insight, Accel and Canaan) used by 100K+ developers, and was an early employee and Chief of Staff at warehouse robotics company GreyOrange ($400M+ raised from Tiger Global and BlackRock). Deepika Adusumilli, Former Chief Data and AI Officer, BT Group ($19.70B ARR): Deepika Adusumilli is the former Chief Data and AI Officer at BT Group, where she helped shape the organisation’s data and artificial intelligence strategy across a FTSE 100 business. Her work included supporting the adoption of generative AI at enterprise scale, including the deployment of AI-powered development tools to 1,200 engineers, while embedding appropriate governance, security and responsible technology principles.
Deepika has held senior product, data and technology leadership roles across major organisations including King, HSBC, Telefónica, Lloyds Banking Group and AZA Finance. Her experience spans financial services, telecommunications, technology and digital products, with a particular focus on turning emerging technologies into scalable products and measurable business outcomes.
