We are inviting all AAPI founders, investors, and operators for an inspiring evening of networking over complimentary food & drinks and learning from AAPI leaders in fintech – Founders of Percent, Penelope, and
Skit.ai (venture-backed fintech start-ups), and AAPI leaders in the food and beverage CPG industry – Founders of Lunar hard seltzer and Noona’s ice cream! The event will feature two panels where our esteemed panelists will share their valuable insights and experiences as AAPI leaders in their respective industries. Topics covered will include up and downs in their entrepreneurship journey, building and wealth creation as AAPIs, and more! There will also be time for eating and mingling.
Speaker Bios:
Nelson Chu: Nelson is the founder and CEO of Percent, a global leader in financial infrastructure solutions (raised $20M). Prior to Percent, he founded a strategy consulting firm specializing in helping companies build products and raise capital for growth, creating over $1B in equity value. He began his career at several of the top financial services firms, including Bank of America and BlackRock.
Jean Smart: Jean is an accomplished entrepreneur and CEO of Penelope, a retirement savings platform for small businesses and entrepreneurs (raised $6.7M in funding). She is also a founding member of Chief (Series B, raised US$100M), a private network for executive women to amplify their influence and empower others.
Sourabh Gupta: Sourabh is the founder and CEO of
Skit.ai, a leading Conversational Voice AI solution provider in the Accounts Receivable Management industry, empowering collection agencies to streamline and accelerate revenue recovery. The company has raised more than $50M in funding.
Hannah Bae: Hannah is the founder of Noona's ice cream, known for its Asian-inspired flavors. She won the annual ice cream contest at Hester St Fair with her special toasted rice ice cream.
Kevin Wong is the co-founder of Lunar, an award-winning craft hard seltzer made with real fruit sourced from Asia. He is also an active investor in the venture capital space, serving as the Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners (VC fund investing $1 million in seed stage companies and $2 million to $10 million in companies with more than $10 million in revenue) and Lorimer Ventures (VC Fund focusing on exceptional B2B SaaS startups).
