In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month and timed alongside NYC’s May art fair season, Noeme Foundation invites you to the third session of our Art of Collecting Art curriculum: Insiders’ Guide to Art Fairs - Building Your Collector’s Eye & Community.
This special evening takes place at Alisan Fine Arts during Painting as Method, an exhibition featuring the works of Kelly Wang, Yifan Jiang, and the late Mimi Chen Ting.

Speakers & Bios
Daniel Chen (Moderator) – Director of Alisan Fine Arts New York. With a background in contemporary art, Daniel oversees the gallery’s New York programming and its mission to champion Chinese and Chinese diaspora artists.
Kelly Wang – A New York–based artist known for her deeply personal and material-driven practice. Her work fuses traditional Chinese ink techniques with mixed media to explore identity, memory, and cultural inheritance.
Yifan Jiang – A multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, animation, and installation. Combining digital modeling with oil painting, Yifan creates surreal visual languages that reflect on language, empathy, and human connection.
Jason Andrew – A curator, writer, and producer known for his stewardship of artist estates, including that of Mimi Chen Ting. He brings unique insight into legacy, collection care, and the long-term relevance of an artist’s practice.
