Mondays are tough. Starting the week alone can feel aimless. But showing up and saying your goals out loud with other founders? That helps.
This is the start of a focused weekly sprint. What you commit to on Monday sets the tone—and on Friday, you'll share what actually got done. When you're building solo, that kind of structure and support matters.
We start with a quick standup. Everyone says what they're working on and what they want to finish this week. Then we get to it.
Just show up, say your goals, and work alongside people who are doing the same.
Monday Schedule:
- 10:00 AM - Settle in and set up.
- 11:00 AM – Weekly Kickoff Standup: Quick roundtable to set goals, spot blockers, and commit to your week.
- 11:30 AM Onward – Coworking: Heads down. Make progress. Ask for help if needed.
- 12:30 PM - Lunch - Optionally grab lunch together and have a chance to chat with your fellow founders.
What to Expect:
🔹 Start with direction — Get clear on your priorities.
🔹 Work around other doers — No pitching. No posturing. Just building.
🔹 Real accountability — What you say Monday, you show Friday.
🔹 Quiet, focused space — Minimize distractions. Get stuff done.
Weekly Rhythm:
- Monday – Kickoff: Set your goals. Start strong.
- Wednesday – Brown Bag Check-in: Regroup, troubleshoot, stay on track.
- Friday – Demo & Feedback Day: Show your progress. Learn. Wrap up strong.
We’re bringing a builder-first community culture to NYC—one where founders actively support, inspire, and drive each other forward. See you Wednesday.

About Cohort – A Community for Builders
Cohort is a new community of founders and builders focused on a SF like builder first community culture for founders, instead of the NYC hustle and networking culture.
NYC has some of the most ambitious people in the world, but too often, the startup scene feels transactional. The best founder ecosystems emerge when people build together, challenge each other, and create momentum as a group.
As Paul Graham wrote:
“Ambitious people are rare… when you take people like this and put them together with other ambitious people, they bloom like dying plants given water.”
We’re building an environment where founders work side by side, form real relationships, and accelerate each other’s progress.
We host weekly co-working and accountability sprints—where you work together, get to genuinely know other founders, get real time help from each other, and make sure you deliver on your weekly milestones.
We also host social knowledge exchange events from time to time where you can find deeper conversations, shared experiences, and communal learning—and build a real community of peers not just a network of business contacts.
